This notice explains how Shidawei Trading Limited handles personal data collected through merrowde.com. It is written to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong, and it is short on purpose: we collect little, we keep it for set periods, and you can ask to see it.
01
Who is responsible
Shidawei Trading Limited is the data user for this site. Registered address: ROOM 102, 1/F, THE CLOUD, 111 TUNG CHAU STREET, TAI KOK TSUI, HONG KONG. Privacy questions, access requests and deletion requests go to shidawei2026@outlook.com and are handled by the person who also answers order mail, so nothing gets lost between departments.
02
What we collect from you
Only what an enquiry or an order needs: your name, email address, optional telephone or WhatsApp number, company name, delivery address, destination country, the pieces and quantities you ask about, and the content of your messages. If a claim is raised we also hold photographs of the piece and the carton, and the courier's tracking record.
We do not ask for card numbers, bank passwords or identity documents, and we do not want them by email.
03
Server logs
The web server records the pages requested, the time, the referring page, the browser user-agent and the IP address that made the request. Logs are used for security, for blocking abusive traffic and for diagnosing faults. They are not used to build a profile and are not combined with enquiry records.
04
Cookies and local state
This is a display site with no cart and no checkout, so there is no basket state to store. We do not run advertising cookies, remarketing pixels or cross-site trackers. A single session cookie may be set by the server to keep a browsing session coherent; it carries no marketing data and expires with the session. Your browser can block or clear it and the site will still work.
05
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your details to answer your enquiry, quote a price, check a weave date, arrange freight and customs paperwork, raise and settle an invoice, and handle a return or a claim. In Hong Kong terms the purposes are directly related to the supply of goods and services you asked about, or to a purpose you clearly consented to when you wrote to us. Bookkeeping and tax records are kept because the law requires it, not because we want the history.
06
Who else may see it
A small set of processors: our email and hosting providers, the courier or freight forwarder carrying the goods, a customs broker where one is engaged, and our bank and accounting function for payment and bookkeeping. Each receives only what the task needs — a courier gets a name, address and telephone number, not your whole correspondence. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not hand lists to marketers.
07
Transfers outside Hong Kong
Our mail and hosting providers and our couriers operate internationally, so a message or a delivery address may be processed in another jurisdiction while your order is open. We choose providers with contractual confidentiality and security obligations, and we send the minimum needed for the delivery or the reply. Where a transfer is required for performance of your order, it is made on that basis.
08
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence that does not become an order is kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Order and claims correspondence is retained with the order record, not in a separate folder, so a later question about a piece can be answered from the same file. Invoices, payment records and accounting entries are kept for 7 years to meet Hong Kong record-keeping requirements. Server logs are rotated after 90 days.
09
Your rights
You may ask whether we hold data about you, request a copy, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, and ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. Write to shidawei2026@outlook.com with enough detail for us to find the record. We reply within 40 days as the Ordinance allows, usually much sooner. A reasonable fee may be charged for a data access request where copying costs warrant it; we will tell you first.
10
Security, children, and complaints
Access to order mail is limited to the staff who need it, and devices are password-protected. No system is perfect; if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data as required. This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If a privacy complaint is not resolved by us, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD), Hong Kong.

Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and move the date at the foot of it. Material changes that affect open orders are also sent by email to the address on that order. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the notice as it then stands.
